Ronald J. Daniels Elected JHU President

Ronald Joel Daniels, a distinguished academic leader and scholar, will become the 14th president of The Johns Hopkins University on March 2, 2009. Daniels, 49, has been provost of the University of Pennsylvania since 2005. According to Pamela Flaherty, Chair of the Johns Hopkins Board of Trustees, “Ron is a distinguished scholar, dedicated educator, a brilliant and inspiring leader and a skillful communicator.
