Wenrui Huang’s research focuses on the social context of education, particularly in STEM, social stratification and mobility. Her methodological expertise includes rigorous quantitative, computational, and spatial techniques to address issues of equity and excellence in academic and economic trajectories. Before beginning her PhD program at Johns Hopkins University, Wenrui worked in a research position at the China Institute for Financial and Educational Research (CIFER) at Peking University, after completing her master’s degree at Cornell University. She has also contributed to several large-scale, school-based interventions in rural China.
