Mariale Hardiman, assistant dean of the School of Education and chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies has published a new book – the Brain-Targeted Teaching Model for 21st Century Schools. The book, designed to serve as a bridge between researchers and educators, offers teachers, from preK through higher education, practical ways to apply research to the teaching and learning process.
Hardiman, a former Baltimore City Public School teacher and principal, said the book provides practical ways to apply research to the teaching and learning process. Charles Limb of the School of Medicine and Education said, “I applaud Dr. Hardiman for showing that neuroscience can and should inform the process of education.”
