Meet the Academic Advising Team
-
Kathie Sindt, Director of Academic Advising
Even after 20+ years of being an academic advisor, Kathie remains motivated and in the field because of the gratitude students express when her assistance has helped a student navigate the university. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Virginia, a master's in Counseling from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor's in Biology from Allegheny College. During the summer, you can find Kathie at a Disney park or with dirt under her fingernails from her vegetable garden.
-
Jose Del Valle, Academic Advisor
Jose is driven by a commitment to help students navigate their academic career and achieve educational and career success. He holds a master's in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Puerto Rico (Rio Piedras), a bachelor's in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez), and a bachelor's in Religion from American Military University. Jose has a wealth of experience in higher education, including previous positions as a college counselor, academic advisor, and student success coach. In his free time, Jose enjoys reading, watching mixed martial arts, and (inadvertently) getting lost on hiking trails.
-
Kait Hubberman, Academic Advisor
Kait is dedicated to supporting students through their educational journeys and empowering them to reach their goals. She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University.
