Nan Mu’s research interests include children’s social and cognitive development, especially in perspective taking, language acquisition, and bilingualism. Prior to joining the PhD program at Johns Hopkins University, Nan worked with researchers from the University of Alabama and Harvard Graduate School of Education on perspective taking and argumentation among early adolescents. For a decade before coming to the U.S., she taught English at the university level, working with Chinese undergraduate students to improve their spoken and written English.
