Dhathri Chunduru is a PhD graduate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education studying the relationship between demographic change, schools, and student outcomes. Her dissertation project focused on how schools have adapted to changing populations, specifically in new Latinx counties and school districts across the nation. This project utilizes national data from the American Community Survey, Common Core of Data, and the National Center of Education Statistics. Prior to her doctoral work, she served in a variety of public policy and nonprofit roles. She led the leadership and pedagogical development of 250 novice teachers as the managing director for Teach For America in Metro Atlanta. Most recently, she led a state-wide supportive housing initiative with the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
