A new Times Higher Education survey, highlighting global leaders in education, teacher training and academic studies in education, ranks the Johns Hopkins School of Education 15th in the world.

All schools in the ranking had to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, so “it’s a great achievement to make the top 100,” according to the survey.

Johns Hopkins University moved up to 13th in the world and ninth among U.S. universities in the Times Higher Education rankings. The university was listed 17th overall and 12th among U.S. schools in last year’s rankings. The Britain-based magazine annually ranks 1,000 universities from 77 countries based on a global reputation survey, additional measures of research and teaching quality, and other factors.
