Norma Day-Vines, professor in the Counseling and Human Development program, comes to SOE from Virginia Tech where she was an associate professor in counseling education. Dr. Day-Vines’ research agenda focuses on the importance of multiculturalism as an indispensable tool in the delivery of culturally competent counseling services to clients from marginalized groups.
She started her career as a school counselor in the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina and earned her doctorate from North Carolina State University. She was tenured at both the College of William and Mary and Virginia Tech.
