Bright Now, a new podcast hosted by Jonathan Plucker, Julian C. Stanley Professor of Talent Development at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, focuses on what is known today about parenting and educating advanced learners. In the first episode, “Undermotivation,” launched Tuesday, Sept. 10, Plucker talks with Michael Matthews, program director for the Academically/Intellectually Gifted graduate programs at UNC Charlotte, about the problem of underachievement among very bright children.
