As an employee for over eight years at the Johns Hopkins Center for Technology in Education, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the strong sense of solidarity that exists within our organization. I have been fortunate to be a part of several teams that all value helping one another succeed. At CTE, we believe that solidarity is key to success. In fact, it’s one of our values. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

One of the things that sets us apart is our commitment to supporting each other. Whether it’s through collaborative projects, peer mentorship, or simply offering a helping hand; we are all dedicated to helping each other grow and reach our full potential.

In addition to helping one another thrive, we also practice uprightness and strive to ensure dignity for all members of our community. We believe in being open and transparent in all our interactions, and we work hard to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone. This means that we listen to each other’s ideas, respect different viewpoints, and work together to find solutions to problems. We believe in the power of collaboration and are committed to working with everyone to achieve their goals. Whether you are a student, a faculty member, or a member of the community, we are here to support you and help you succeed.

In my new role as extended learning coordinator for our International Teaching and Global Learning graduate program, solidarity and inclusivity are especially important for our students. When they feel connected to their peers and feel supported by their faculty and the larger community, they are more likely to be engaged and motivated to learn.

Building a sense of solidarity in extended learning has helped to create a more equitable and inclusive learning experience for all our students. This has involved actively promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at all our extended learning sites. We are always working to build a positive and supportive learning environment for all our students, regardless of their background or learning needs. This can lead to better outcomes for our students and ultimately contribute to the overall success of the learning community.

At CTE, we are a community that values solidarity. We believe that by supporting each other and fostering a respectful environment, we can help everyone reach their full potential. We are committed to practicing honesty and transparency, and we stand with all members of our community as we work towards our shared goals.

Finally, I am proud to be a part of an organization that stands with all members of our community. We are committed to working together to achieve our shared goals and helping everyone succeed. It is this sense of community and support that makes CTE an amazing place to work.
