Elisabeth Woodward, who has 13 years of experience in marketing, admissions and enrollment management in higher education, has been named director of admissions for the School of Education.

She will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and her office will be located in Columbia.

“Elisabeth has a proven history of attaining performance goals,” said Barbara Emorine, director of enrollment services. “She also has the proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across an organization and a strong commitment to organizational objectives.”

Prior to joining the School of Education, Woodward was executive director of the graduate division in the College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Joseph’s University, where she oversaw the planning and administration of a $1.1 million operating budget, and managed the marketing, recruitment and admissions operations for students enrolled in 22 master’s degree programs, one doctoral program and 13 graduate certificate programs.

Prior to that, she was director of recruitment and admissions for 25 master’s degree programs, one doctoral program and 20 graduate certificate programs; director of recruitment and marketing, where she conducted market research, data collection and analysis to determine market trends and areas for growth particularly in digital marketing; and director of recruitment and admissions in the College of Professional and Liberal Studies.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and English from Wellesley College and master’s degree in training and organization development from Saint Joseph’s University.
