Set Application Deadlines
Programs with a fixed or set application deadline will accept applications up until the stated date only. The online application form will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on the day of the stated deadline.
Rolling Admission Deadlines
Where listed, rolling admission means that completed applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, not after a set deadline. Applications will be accepted until programs and courses reach full capacity. If a program or class reaches full capacity, notice will be posted below.
Delays and Missed Deadlines
The Office of Admissions cannot extend or waive application deadlines for any reason, including technical issues experienced by individual applicants. Applicants who miss a deadline may apply for the next admission term available.
General Requirements
To be admitted to a Johns Hopkins School of Education degree or certificate program, applicants are required to hold the appropriate qualifying degree(s).
- For master’s programs and graduate certificates, applicants must present official evidence of receipt of a four-year bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education or the equivalent by the time of expected matriculation.
- For doctoral programs, applicants must present official evidence of receipt of a four-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from a regionally- accredited institution of higher education or the equivalent by the time of expected matriculation.
- For prior degrees and coursework, both undergraduate and graduate, applicants must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in all previous undergraduate and graduate studies (including incomplete programs of study and programs still in progress).
