Vivian Lee, associate professor in the School of Education’s counseling program, is part of a cross-divisional Johns Hopkins University team awarded a $250,000 Healthier World Implementation Grant. One of four awards announced on Sept. 6 by the Johns Hopkins Alliance for a Healthier World, the grant provides up to $250,000 over three years to support external collaborations addressing health equity in disadvantaged communities around the world.
Lee is a member of the grantee team “Transformative Technologies for Zero TB in Tibetan Kids,” which seeks to determine the most effective strategies for eliminating tuberculosis among Tibetan refugee populations. The team is led by Principal Investigator Richard Chaisson, professor of medicine, epidemiology and international health in the School of Medicine, and other team members representing the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Carey School of Business, School of Nursing, and Bloomberg School of Public Health.
