Through the generosity of our donors, our endowed scholarship program awards include over 25 donor-named scholarships each year to SOE students who demonstrate the highest financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students must apply for the Endowed Scholarship Program each spring to be considered for the following academic year. Award recipients are required to submit a donor thank you letter each year. Below are the terms and conditions of the School of Education Endowed Scholarship Program.
- Scholarship awards are granted to candidates who are offered full admission to the SOE and are currently enrolled students, are registered in a minimum of 4.5 credits, and meet satisfactory academic and student conduct standards defined by the academic catalog or the student’s program of study.
- Scholarship awards are not transferable from one academic year to the next. They are determined each academic year and are not automatically renewed from year to year. Students must submit a scholarship application for each year enrolled, along with a FAFSA to be considered for scholarship aid.
- Scholarship awards do not cover dropped courses. Any scholarship applied to a dropped course will be reversed, at this point, any outstanding course charges/tuition liability will have to be paid through another source.
- Should any revisions to your scholarship amount occur over the academic year, you will receive an updated Financial Aid Award Letter.
- SOE reserves the right to change any programs, policies, and requirements related to institutional scholarships without notice.
- SOE Endowed Scholarships are not awarded in the summer term.
- All SOE Endowed Scholarship recipients must write and submit a thank-you letter to the scholarship donor.
- There are some circumstances in which a scholarship award may not be valid:
- If you transfer to a different program within the SOE.
- If you defer your enrollment to a future semester or academic year.
- If you do not enroll in the term, you have been admitted.
- If you receive a scholarship from an external funding source or if proof of need based on assets and income listed on the FAFSA does not meet the criteria of need.
- If you do not meet satisfactory academic or student conduct standards.
