Crystal Spring, is a PhD graduate at the Johns Hopkins School of Education, is currently developing a scale measuring high school engagement and motivation in class discussion. She is exploring the potential relationships between class discussion and reading achievement. Crystal is also interested in how various stakeholders and policies contribute to school culture, as well as how to measure school culture.
