Teri Murray oversees all functions and services pertaining to a student’s experience outside of the classroom. Areas of oversight include student affairs, enrollment services, career services, student involvement and accountability, international student support, academic and student policies, and community building. With a focus on students and their overall success, the School employs a comprehensive and strategic approach to recruiting, engaging, sustaining and supporting students throughout the entire student life cycle, from prospect to graduate.

Murray has worked her entire career (33 years) in a variety of areas within higher education, including academic advising, admissions and student affairs. Prior to Hopkins, Murray spent 22 years at Penn State University, most recently serving as Director of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Penn State Berks.  As a member of senior leadership, she oversaw student affairs, admissions, financial aid, student life, new student orientation, student support services and retention, health services, counseling services, residence life, student conduct, and athletics. During her tenure, she led the college to all-time high enrollments, supervised 38 total staff members, managed multi-million dollar operational and student fee budgets, and was the advisor for the Lion Ambassadors and Student Government Association.

Murray holds a master’s degree in higher education administration with a concentration in sports management and a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations, both from West Virginia University.
