During a student’s transition into life after high school, the student is at the center of the planning process. The Maryland Transition Digital Portfolio (MTDP) is a student-driven tool where students can document their progress with transition activities in their Individualized Education Program (IEP), share work samples, show achievements, and highlight their strengths with the goal to prepare them for their next steps.
The MTDP supports multiple learning styles. It encourages self-determination, self-reflection, and self-advocacy, and allows students to document personal growth to promote motivation and self-confidence through a strengths-based lens.
With the MTDP, students can:
-
Showcase their employability skills
-
Organize documents required to apply for college, trade schools, and certification programs
-
Prioritize and visualize the steps necessary to achieve their own personal highest level of self-sufficiency, independence, and success
