General Overview<\/h2>\n

The <\/span><\/span>Household Pulse Survey<\/span><\/span><\/a>, conducted by the United States Census Bureau, is an online survey that<\/span> intends to<\/span> measure<\/span> the impact of emergent<\/span> <\/span>social <\/span>and economic <\/span>matters<\/span> on U.S. households<\/span> since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>A link to complete the survey is administered via email or text to <\/span>randomly <\/span>selected<\/span> <\/span>households<\/span> <\/span>across the country.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Da<\/span>ta from the Household Pulse Survey<\/span> (documented by our team in May 2025)<\/span> <\/span>shows that the percentage of school-aged children reported as homeschooled during the 2023-2024 school year <\/span>was<\/span> <\/span>5.92%.<\/span> This compares to 9.92% of students in private schools, and 84.16% in public schools. These numbers <\/span>a<\/span>re largely <\/span>similar to<\/span> those estimated for the previous school year, with a slight increase in homeschool enrollment (+0.1 percentage points) and a slight decrease in private school enrollment (-0.1 percentage points).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
