Rosanna Sanchez John, EdD

Lecturer

Rosanna Sanchez John earned her Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision from Marymount University. She has presented at numerous international and national conferences, on racial identity, traditional spiritual practices, Latinx community, and equine-facilitated therapy. Her professional interests include multicultural counseling, racial identity development in Afro-Latinx and diverse populations, religious and spiritual issues in counseling, and equine-facilitated therapy. Rosanna is an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), Chi Sigma Iota, Mu Upsilon Gamma Chapter, and the Association for Creativity in Counseling. Rosanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She conducts mental health services in both English and Spanish to adolescents, young adults, and families. Rosanna has been working intensively with anxiety, trauma, family transitional issues, cultural adaptation, crisis intervention and assessment in both the government sector and non-profit organizations.
