
LaNail R. Plummer is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Maryland and Washington, DC and earned her doctorate from Marymount University in 2018. She holds national credentials as a Counselor (NCC), Supervisor (ACS) and Board-Certified TeleMental Health Counselor (BC-TMH). Her research agenda includes exploring the cultural intersections for minorities in work settings and personal relationships resulting in the development of her model: The Culturally Intersected Clinical Supervision Model. Additionally, LaNail has presented at national and international conferences on topics that include the cultural Black community, LGBTQ community, spirituality, clinical frameworks and clinical supervision, and private practice start-ups. She has presented insightful mental health tips and commentary on local and national media outlets to include ABC7, NBC4, and CNN. LaNail has 15+ years of clinical experience that allows her to incorporate her experiences as Veteran, school/community leadership, university faculty research, & parenting to create customized experiences for organizations & agencies while also providing direct services, consultation, and entrepreneurship development. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Onyx Therapy Group and the recipient of 40 Under 40 award presented by the Center for Leadership and Excellence.
