Katie Smith is the Lead Clinical Faculty for Special Education with Urban Teachers Baltimore. Prior to working as LCF, Katie worked for Urban Teachers in the capacities of Data and Assessment Coordinator and instructional coach, and worked on program expansion to the Dallas site. Katie previously worked as a special education teacher and IEP Chair at KIPP Harmony Academy in Baltimore City and as a special education Content Specialist for Teach for America. Katie also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the island nation of Vanuatu and was responsible for teaching grades 3-6 and training teachers in English instruction. She is passionate about making sure all students have equitable opportunities to learn and grow in Baltimore City Schools.
