Jodi Miller is a PhD graduate with expertise in cognitive development, specifically executive function. She is primarily interested in understanding how stress impacts working memory and other cognitive abilities in children. Her neuroscience and biology background shapes her understanding of how exposure to trauma may physiologically affect children, and in turn their cognition. After her experience teaching high school biology in Philadelphia, she is passionate about urban education and thinking about how students experiencing high levels of stress may be better supported by schools.
