10th Anniversary Celebration
On Sept. 17, nearly 200 alumni, faculty, students, colleagues and friends gathered in the Glass Pavilion for the School of Education’s 10th Anniversary gala, celebrating its first decade as a standalone school while honoring more than a century of Johns Hopkins University leadership in education practice, research and policy. Special guests included Nancy Grasmick, former Maryland state superintendent of education; Jason Botel, acting assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education for the U.S. Department of Education; Stephen Morgan, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Education; and Leila Warraich, master’s degree candidate in mental health counseling.
