Apply for Financial Aid – 2018-2019

Application Process

The Financial Aid Office aims to make applying for financial aid as seamless as possible. For questions related to student eligibility, please visit our Financial Aid Fact Sheet. Follow these easy steps to apply:

STEP 1 – FAFSA (Required For Applicants, Newly Admitted, and Continuing Students)

Complete the 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must include the Federal School Code of E00475 on your FAFSA. In order to complete the FAFSA, you will need an FSA ID. You can complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to being admitted.  The FAFSA can be completed prior to or after being admitted to the university.

Did you get selected for Federal Verification during the FAFSA Process?

STEP 2 – SOE Planned Enrollment Form (Required For Newly Admitted and Continuing Students)

Once you have been admitted to the JHU School of Education, you will complete the 2018-19 Planned Enrollment Form. This link takes you to the Self Service portal, which then directs you to complete your request on the financial aid portal, Net Partner. To access Net Partner, log into SIS, click on Financial Aid, then Summary.  The SOE Planned Enrollment Form cannot be completed prior to being admitted to the university.

Additional Resources

Grants and Scholarship – The School of Education (SOE) offers a limited number of partial, need-based institutional scholarships each year. Through the generosity of donors, SOE’s Endowed Scholarship awards range from $500 to $1,500 per year and are applied to tuition expenses beginning in the fall semester. Faculty committees select the award recipients based on criteria established by the donor. The deadline to submit the Scholarship Application Form for the 2018-19 academic year is March 15th for the Doctor of Education (EdD) program and April 1st for Master’s Degree and Graduate Certificate programs.  Please visit Grants & Scholarships for more information.

Loans – If you require additional aid, students typically utilize the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan or private alternative student loans.
