Welcoming Remarks by Dean Morphew, EWA 72nd Annual National Seminar, Baltimore, Maryland

Johns Hopkins School of Education Dean Christopher C. Morphew has launched the Johns Hopkins Center for Safe and Healthy Schools at the 72nd Annual National Seminar of the Educational Writers Association in Baltimore.

As host of the EWA’s National Seminar, the School of Education welcomed an audience of more than 600 national education journalists to Baltimore and announced the first center of its kind at a higher education institution. The Center for Safe and Healthy Schools, with more than two dozen affiliated faculty across the university, will pursue a cross-disciplinary, evidence-based, holistic approach to tackling the complex factors affecting the safety and well-being of students and educators.
