Professional Immersion Programs

The School of Education at Johns Hopkins University, in partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), offers master's degree programs in education for applicants interested in becoming general and special education teachers.

The Partnership Programs in General Education (currently called ProMAT) or Special Education (currently called ProSEMS) provide tuition support and full-year professional internship experiences in MCPS schools. Candidates must commit to teach in MCPS after completing their programs. 

Current areas being offered are:

  • Secondary (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Spanish)
  • Elementary
  • Mild/Moderate Disabilities
