Application Process

To be considered for Cohort 8 of the ProSEMS Partnership Program, scheduled to begin Fall 2010, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete and submit the online application.
  2. Complete, as needed, three of four of the following pre/co-requisite courses by June 2010:
    • Children and Youth with Exceptionalities
    • Human Growth and Development
    • Introductory Processes and Acquisition of Reading
    • Diagnosis/Assessment for Reading Instruction (See the ProSEMS FAQs for more information.)
  3. Take and pass the Praxis I exam.
  4. If selected, applicants must apply and be eligible for employment in MCPS

Complete applications must be received by January 1, 2010.
