The 2010 report issued by the Everyone Graduates Center of the Center for Social Organization of Schools of the SOE - co-authored by Civic Enterprises and the America's Promise Alliance - was prominently featured in an article by the Washington Post on the educational goals of the Obama administration.

The report, titled Building a Grad Nation, states that the high school graduation rate rose from 72 percent in 2002 in 2008 and that the United States needs a 'Civic Marshall Plan' as ambitious as the one Secretary of State George C. Marshall set in motion to rebuild Europe after World War II.

The Post's story looks at the current growth in education and concludes that the goals of the study will not be met.
