PBS's FRONTLINE will feature work of SOE's Bob Balfanz and the dropout epidemic

Dr. Bob BalfanzPBS's acclaimed documentary series FRONTLINE will launch its Dropout Nation campaign, a series of reports on the dropout epidemic and an ambitious outreach campaign, working with American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen, a public media initiative made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).

FRONTLINE will launch its campaign on Tuesday, July 17, at 10pm (ET) on PBS with The Middle School Moment, the first of two FRONTLINE programs that focus on solutions to the dropout epidemic. In The Middle School Moment, FRONTLINE will report on the growing body of evidence that suggests the make-or-break moment for high school dropouts may actually be in middle school. The film explores how educators are using school data to predict and prevent dropouts before they happen - and features the work of Dr. Bob Balfanz of Johns Hopkins University.

The film will be available for viewing online as well, by clicking this link
