TFA's Wendy Kopp to speak at JHU

Wendy KoppWendy Kopp, CEO and Founder of Teach for America (TFA), will speak on October 4, at 8:00 at Shriver Hall as part of the 2012 Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium (MSE).

Founded in 2007, the non-profit TFA organization is based on Kopp’s undergraduate theses at Princeton University. TFA works to eliminate educational inequality by enlisting high-achieving recent college graduates and professionals to teach for two or more years at low-income communities throughout the US. The School of Education is an active participant in the program.

The annual MSE Symposium is an undergraduate-run lecture series, free and open to the public, that brings to campus renowned speakers with a variety of perspectives on issues of national importance. For more information, visit MSE Symposium Web site at http://www.jhu.edu/mse.
