Faculty Bio

Danielle Liso, PhD, BCBA-D, is an assistant professor of special education at Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Dr. Liso received her Masters Degree in Severe/Profound Disabilities, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, from Johns Hopkins University in 2000. She received her PhD in Early Childhood Special Education and her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) from Vanderbilt University in 2005. Currently, Dr. Liso serves as the coordinator of the severe disabilities and autism programs at Johns Hopkins University, supporting Masters and Doctoral level students. Dr. Liso has been working in the field of special education for over 12 years and has worked as a classroom teacher, behavioral consultant, researcher, and trainer. She has focused her studies and professional development in the areas of autism and positive behavior support. She travels nationally and internationally providing training and support in developing programs for individuals on the autism spectrum.
