Ms. Veronique Gugliucciello began her career as a Baltimore City School teacher. While working in the city, she served as a Team Leader, Science Fair Coordinator, PTO teacher representative, and teacher representative for the Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education. She served as a mentor and cooperating teacher for pre-service and new teachers, piloted an inclusion team teach model with thirty students and one special educator and completed a counseling internship by developing and implementing a systematic program.

After completing a Master of Science in Urban School Counseling, she began working as a counselor. During her time as a counselor she served as a member of the school IIT team, PBIS team, school crisis team, school emergency operations team, and grade level Kid-Talk teams. She had the opportunity to create and publish various power points and manuals on creating Bully-Free Schools and created and piloted a targeted intervention check in/check out program for at risk students in grades 1-8. She was also able to serve as a mentor for counseling interns. She received extensive training and professional development during her time as a counselor in various areas and presented at school and school system events on various topics.

While working as a counselor, Ms. Gugliucciello began teaching courses for the Department of Teacher Preparation at both their Homewood and Columbia campuses. For the past year, she has been working for the Department of Teacher Preparation full-time as the FlexMAT and AMAT program coordinator.
