Bette Chambers is currently a professor in the Institute for Effective Education at the University of York in England and at the Centre for Research and Reform in Education at Johns Hopkins University, where she conducts research in early childhood education and early literacy. She also directs the development and dissemination of the early childhood education and technology-embedded programs at the Success for All Foundation in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Chambers received her B. A. in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University in 1982, and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 1990 from McGill University. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles, books, and practical guides on cooperative learning, technology infusion in literacy, and early childhood education.
