The East Baltimore Community Schools project is an extraordinary university/community collaboration to further the redevelopment of an East Baltimore neighborhood by designing and operating a new K-8 school which will be recognized as one of the highest performing schools in Baltimore City.

The Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education (JHU/SOE), in partnership with The Morgan State University’s School of Education and Urban Studies, will lend their expertise to develop and operate highly effective, evidence-based curriculum and programs for the new school.  Both JHU and Morgan State are committed to ensuring that the school serves as a model for a high performing school that serves a diverse, mixed-income community of students and families.
