Although each campus provides security services to ensure a safe and secure environment, the school encourages students to walk in groups to and from parking lots and to take other actions to provide for their own safety. The Columbia Center has a full building intercom system that faculty, staff and students can use to communicate with the staff at the front desk in case of emergency.
The university issues its Annual Security Report that describes the security services at each of the university's divisions and reports crime statistics for each of the campuses.
