Dear SOE Community,

It is a very sad and challenging time for Baltimore.  Last night’s events were frightening and disturbing at many levels.  While SOE has not suffered any property damage and we have not had reports of students, staff, or faculty being injured, we remain concerned for our community.   Most immediately, we want to make certain that our SOE family is safe. Longer term, we need to work with our community partners to prevent future events and build an engaged, educated, and fully-committed citizenry.  We are in the unique position of having programs focused on both educating youth and developing public safety. In the coming days, we will discuss how we can best leverage our collective expertise and relationships toward healing our community.

Thanks to all who have expressed concern and support during this difficult time,

David
