Admissions

Admission to programs within the School of Education takes into account a variety of factors, including an applicant’s background, experiences, ability, and potential for success . To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have earned a four-year bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university, and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Application requirements vary by program/discipline, but at the minimum require:

  • Signed application for admission
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary colleges or universities attended (or an official course by course evaluation for degrees earned outside the United States)
  • Essay or personal statement

Each program may also require additional documentation or supplemental information.  Please refer to the requirements matrix or to the program's web page for specific details.

Applications are accepted via the web using our online application.  It is recommended that applicants review the application instructions prior to beginning the online application.

The upcoming application deadlines are as follows:

February 1 - Summer admission (and fall 2012 admission for MS Counseling Programs only)

April 1 - Fall admission

Please feel free to contact an admissions representative should you have questions about the process, wish to check your application status, or need any other admission-related assistance.
