SOE is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education which conducts regular and vigorous examinations of the School’s programs, assessment processes, and quality of student learning. The process is conducted by professionals from peer institutions whose endorsement speaks to the quality of the academic rigor and student experience at the School of Education.
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and many have received national recognition from their respective Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs).

All School of Education programs have been developed in compliance with protocols established by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and are included among the Approved Programs for Professionally Certified Personnel by the Maryland State Department of Education.
